1100 aluminum plate/panel-pure aluminum plate series

1100 is industrial pure aluminum, the aluminum content (mass fraction) is 99.00%, and it cannot be strengthened by heat treatment.

High corrosion resistance, electrical and thermal conductivity,

It has low density and good plasticity, and can produce various aluminum materials through pressure processing, but its strength is low.

Other process properties are basically the same as 1050A.

1100 aluminum plate characteristics

Machinability:

The machinability of Aluminum 1100 is not satisfactory, especially in the soft temper condition. In harder tempers such as machining, the properties are improved. Carbide or high-speed tools can be used, although some dry cutting is possible, and lubricants are recommended.

Forming: 

The alloy has excellent formability and good formability by beneficial techniques of cold or hot operations.

Welding: 

Aluminum 1100 can be welded by conventional commercial methods. If filler rods must be used, they should be assumed to be aluminum 1100. Care must be taken with butt welds, as it may take some trial and error to get good quality results with this method.

Heat Treatment:

This alloy will not solidify by heat treatment. Annealing can be done after a cold run.
